What number should I call for assistance if my home phone is not working?
I tried using a payphone to make a call but it didn't go through, what do I do?
Once we confirm that your call did not go through, we can dial the number for you so that you can complete your call. The use of "smart" phones for public access means you can still make your call, but unfortunately we cannot give any refunds.
Is it possible to block my phone from calling International numbers?
Yes it is possible to have your phone open for only local calls. You can request to have your account blocked for international via our customer care representatives.
Is it possible to block my phone from calling Mobile numbers?
No, this is not possible at the moment.
What documents do I need if want to apply for telephone service?
If you are resident:
You have to bring a copy of Identification,
A registration paper of the census no older than six months
If you are non-resident:
Copy of passport
Note: A deposit of US$ 1,500.00/Naf. 2,670.00 (refundable) is applicable.
If you are a business:
The original chamber of commerce paper,
Copy of identification from the director
Note: non residents are required to bring a Director's license, in order to get back the non-resident deposit, upon requesting service.
How long does it take to have a phone line installed?
The length of time for the installation of a line varies depending on the whether a line is available, the condition of the lines in your area and other technical considerations, such as availability of equipment, etc. We however do our best to provide you with our services within two weeks.
What does it mean to transfer a line when moving to a new home/office?
Transferring a line means that you are moving from one location to another and you would like to maintain your telephone service. There are two types of transfers: Internal and External.
Internal transfers are transfers within the same district (for example, your old home/office is in Philipsburg, and your new home/office is also in Philipsburg), you may then maintain your existing phone number; the cost for this service is: ANG. 140,00
External transfers are transfers from one district to another district ( for example, your old residence/business is in Philipsburg, but your new residence/business is in Cole Bay); this would require a new phone number; therefore the cost for this service is Naf. 225.00.
Note: For the transfer to take place, the account holder must visit our office to make request or send a written request accompanied with identification, also indicate new address for the new line to be installed.
What is the difference between a post paid home phone and a pre-paid home phone?
A postpaid home phone: you pay a subscription fee and usage for the phone line monthly.
A prepaid home phone: no monthly bill, but you have to recharge your account once a month.
What is the advantage of having ADSL instead of wireless?
The main advantage is the quality of service and its faster speeds. Also, it is not limited to certain areas like wireless service.
I visited the 'My Account' section on the website, but I do not have a password?
To obtain a password, visit our Customer Care department at any of our office locations and request a password. At your convenience you may change your password by: going to account settings, located at the top right, click on customer information, and select change password, and change your password to a password of your choice.
How long do I have to wait for fixed prepaid landline telephone service?
Two weeks applies also but this goes directly to the zone, so the waiting period is shorter.
Why does a transfer cost Naf 225.00 with a different number?
This type of transfer (external transfer) requires our technicians to go to another location to install service as they would a completely new installation.

I have no dial tone, what do I do?
Check if the telephone is plugged into the correct jack (voice jack verse data jack). Are the wires running from the receiver to the telephone, and from the telephone to the jack, plugged in securely? Does the receiver rest in its cradle properly? If problems still exist, visit any of our office locations or call our Customer Care Department at 546-0200 ext 364,366,369.
What causes static over my phone connection?
This could be the result of several things. It could be a problem with the wiring or the phone itself. Report static to our outage department at: 542-3100/09
Do I have to re-charge my pre-paid home phone if I have ADSL?
No, it is not necessary to re-charge your prepaid home phone if you have an ADSL. However, if you desire to make calls, then yes, you need to recharge your account.
